Commend an Employee                           or Report Misconduct

The motto of the Lake Placid Police Department is: " Ready to Protect... Proud to Serve." This Police Department takes pride in providing the citizens and visitors of Lake Placid with the finest police service possible. In order for this department to provide you with the finest quality service, we welcome your opinions and comments.

If you wish to commend employee's of this department, we request that you write a letter to the Chief of police by e-mail to moore@lakeplacidpd.com, or by regular mail. You may also do so in person at the Police Department which is located in the North Elba Town Hall, 2693 Main St. Lake Placid, NY 12946 Suite 104. Verbal commendations can also be received by any supervisor at any time and location.

If you feel that an employee of this department has failed to provide you with quality police service, or has acted inappropriately, you are encouraged to contact any supervisor of the Police Department or the Chief of Police. Complaints against ANY employee will result in the investigation of your complaint and the employee.
